You will reap the benefits of massage if it becomes a regular part of your life. My goal is for us to work together to take better care of your health, long-term.
Communication is key. I need to know what you're feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. In turn, I will explain the treatment and what you can expect to gain from it.
Massage is a tool to help heal. Whether it's stress, illness or simply to pamper yourself, the benefits of massage can be life changing. I would be honored to take that journey with you.
Here at Tranquil Motion Therapeutic Massage, we believe in healing through the art of muscle manipulation. Our goal is to provide each one of our clients with quality therapeutic bodywork that promotes not only physical healing, but mental and spiritual rejuvination. We strive every day to support our community by making your health and wellness our top priority.
Deep Tissue Massage reaches your deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points and muscle/fascia adhesions throughout the body. It can be a little uncomfortable, but is absolutely necessary in order to alleviate chronic pain and excessive tension that has been building up over long periods of time.
The goal of Sports Massage is to invigorate muscles and increase the blood flow in anticipation of your upcoming sporting event(s). Sports Massage is extremely beneficial in that it gets your muscles prepared to operate at peak performance. A good post-event sports massage also helps aid in shortened muscle recovery time, as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body.
Myofascial Release is a manual therapy technique often used in massage. The technique focuses on pain believed to arise from myofascial tissues — the tough membranes that wrap, connect and support your muscles. It is often performed with very little to no lotion or oil in order to break up the muscle fascia effectively, which creates excessive friction on the skin. In turn, it can be a lot more painful than Deep Tissue Massage but equally beneficial.
Andrew grew up locally, right here in Fauquier County, Virginia. Having been immersed in sports and athletics his whole life, being skilled with his hands, a desire to help others and to become a business owner, he decided to pursue a career in Massage Therapy. It was in 2011 that he found Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage(NVSTM) located in Falls Church, Virginia.
While attending massage school full-time at night, Andrew worked during the day at a local massage spa learning the administrative side of the industry. Upon graduating in 2012 and obtaining his license to practice Massage Therapy from the Virginia Board of Nursing, he started working as a Certified and Licensed Massage Therapist at that same facility.
Four and a half years later in December of 2016, after spending countless hours perfecting his craft, honing his techniques, and generating positive reviews from clients, Andrew opened Tranquil Motion Therapeutic Massage. He considers it an honor and a privilege to assist in the healing and growth of others.
In his spare time he stays very active playing on three different Men's League ice hockey teams. He loves writing music, playing and collecting guitars, working on/modifying his car and truck, studying Psychology, gardening, and enjoying the peace and quiet of solo country living.
